ABSTRACT
The survey shows that there are 2,388 color adjectives of Vietnamese folk verses. The colours that mostly appear are blue, yellow, pink, white, red, etc. The article will suggest some approaches to color adjectives such as inter-cultural approach, poetics approach, approach in relation to other arts. From the factual survey, we recognize that if we would like to understand the "messages", colour adjectives must be put into the places of cultural, social and natural geographic environment that produced it.
